A Perfectionist's Prison (Part 3): Your Work

Welcome back! Thank you all for attending our weekly meeting of Perfectionists Anonymous [check out part 1 and part 2, if you missed out].  I see that a few of you bought new notebooks, color-coded sticky notes and highlighters to take notes.  I appreciate all of the enthusiasm, but I think you should probably put the pen down and listen to this one.  This week's session, we are focusing on the perfectionism that knit-picks and stresses out over perfection in work and school.  Honor rolls, lead roles, blue ribbon holders, and trophy winners, it's time for some self-evaluation.

Embrace It!


Several months ago, I came across a website for the “Happiest 5k on the planet”, The Color Run.  As I began to read about it, I was hooked.  Basically there are 3 rules in this 5k. #1 You have to start the race wearing all white. #2 When you finish, color should be plastered on everything. #3 You must have fun.  You see, every kilometer you go through a “color station” where volunteers are standing with large buckets of powdered paint, and they throw cups full on you as you run through.  So, you start the race with a white shirt and you finish the race with a tye-dyed body!

Star Wars! (Yes, that's what I said)
