The Lord Is My Shepherd...And So Much More!

Check out the most popular Psalm.  Psalm 23.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

This is a very familiar passage to every Christian in the world.   Even most non-Christians recognize these verses.

Grrrrrrrr....

In my 27ish years of life I would say that I have probably met and worked with more people than most people who are in their 40’s.  Working in the ministry and in mission’s leads you to places you would never think and introduces you to people that you would never imagine meeting.  Most of the people are nothing short of awesome, however, you sometimes meet those people who make you go Grrrrrrrrr.  No person in this world makes me go Grrrrrrrrrrr more than a false leader.

Only in Africa (Africa Part 3)

Only in Africa would you have to plug your mixer up to a transformer to keep it from shooting sparks!Since returning home from Africa I have replayed in my mind 100’s of moments and priceless memories that were made while we were in Africa.  This was my third trip to Mwanza, but yet it was way different than any other.  Since that’s where Liv and Brian live now, we were able “live” like “African’s.”  We did not stay in hotel or eat all of our meals at restaurants or do all the “touristy” things that first timers and teams do.  We got down in the dirt.  We stayed in the guesthouse and I got to experience what cooking in Africa is like.  We were able to experience what it’s like living there and being apart of the culture.  It, to say the least, was eye opening for me.  Not only did God open my eyes to new and incredible things about Himself and His character, He opened my eyes to His work and His children.
