Heavy Metals Found in Many Cosmetics: Not Listed on Labels

Is your makeup safe?In light of recent news that the FDA found lead in 400 brands of lipstickYahoo! Shine took a look at other products containing potentially hazardous ingredients. Historically, women have risked their health for beauty by using cosmetics laden with poisons. It's reported that Queen Elizabeth's face became so disfigured from lead-contaminated makeup, she had all the mirrors in her palace removed. In 18th century France, courtesans applied vermilion rouge, which contained sulfur and mercury, and suffered damage to their teeth, livers, and nervous systems as a result. While the levels are much lower, according to a 2011 report by Environmental Defense, an Ontario-based research group, dangerous heavy metals still lurk in lip gloss, mascara, foundation, blush, eye shadow, and eyeliner.

'Truckers Against Trafficking' Hopes to Bring Justice to Young Women

 You might have seen the "Real Men Don't Buy Girls" campaign recently, but celebrities are not the only ones making a difference. A nationwide campaign, Truckers Against Trafficking hopes to put a stop to trafficking, specifically on highways and truck stops.

The campaign helps educate truck drivers on identifying the signs of sex trafficking and to properly notify the authorities when suspected trafficking happens.

Nevada Trucking Association CEO Paul J. Enos said members are "sickened by the evils of human trafficking."

"Truckers are the eyes and ears of our highways and truck stops, so we are asking truckers to notify the authorities when they see signs of these activities," Enos said.

Victoria’s Secret Model Quits to Reserve Body ‘for My Husband’

Model Kylie Bisutti, 21, has decided to leave Victoria’s Secret because it clashes with her Christian beliefs. 

“My body should only be for my husband and it’s just a sacred thing,” Bisutti told FOX411′s Pop Tarts column.  “I didn’t really want to be that kind of role model for younger girls because I had a lot of younger Christian girls that were looking up to me and then thinking that it was OK for them to walk around and show their bodies in lingerie to guys.”  READ THE FULL STORY
