My thoughts on "Fork in the Road"

Giving More Than We Can Spare

So I was browsing Facebook today, and I came across this quote a friend posted on their page by C.S. Lewis from Mere Christianity:

"I do not believe one can settle how much we ought to give.  I am afraid the only safe rule is to give more than we can spare… If our charities do not at all pinch or hamper us,… they are too small. There ought to be things we should like to do and cannot do because our charitable expenditures excludes them.”

My husband, Brian, and I are on the adventure of our lifetime (Read my first post here).  And we truly believe that this is right where we are supposed to be.  There are so many things we would love to do one day, but this is so much more important.

Jesus Really is the Difference.

Last week I was able to enjoy five glorious days away from the world sailing the seas.  And yes, it was great.  I had never been on cruise before, but I have to admit, I am hooked now.  Our graduation celebration in the GLAM office!Back in May my ex-boss/mentor/friend, Niki, and I graduated from seminary with our Masters Degree.  It was a glorius day after four long years of reading, writing and encouraging each other along.  I honestly did not think I would ever see the end, but we did.  Not only did we finish, but if I were the boasting kind, I would say that we finished well! ;)
