What Maturity?!

I find myself laughing at, well, myself… A LOT these days. As I think about all the new responsibilities coming my way in in just a few short months, I can’t help but think that I really, honestly, thought I would be WAY more mature before I hit this stage in my life. So much for that!

The truth is I’m scared of so much that is coming my way. Who wouldn’t be? I mean, let's be real here: we're talking physical pain, growing fatter, lots of stress, and worry out the wahoo. Then in the end, you have a whole new person to take care of.  It’s a big job! How does God know I’m ready for this, when I’m not even sure I’m ready for this?

The good thing is the Bible tells us that God created each of us to be one-of-a kind with a specific plan that is perfect. I can rest assured that no matter what, God planned for this kid to come my way, right now, and apparently if I’m not mature enough for it yet, I will be by fall! Those kinds of facts help me feel a bit more confident about it all.

Speaking of maturity and new stages in life, CONGRATULATIONS to all of our GLAM Grads! Welcome to life after middle school, high school, or college! Although, you may not be facing the same type of responsibility I’m facing these days, I bet you can at least relate to the freaking out part. Try and find peace in the fact that as long as you are seeking and following Gods plan for you’re your life, you have nothing to fear. You will have the help and guidance you need to succeed. Remember, no matter how scary the future looks, it was designed just for you and God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called!

So with that said... HAPPY SUMMER! I hope you’re getting in lots of time with your family and friends, maybe some quality time with a pool or the beach, and gearing up to move on to the BRIGHT things in store for you this fall!
