If you could do anything...

My dream when I was 15 was to skydive. This is me DOING IT! ... and I have bigger dreams now.Yesterday, I decided to ask a really tough question to nearly everyone I talked to: If you could do anything in the world and not fail, what would you do? My mom actually asked me this question a few weeks ago, and I was caught off guard by the openness and unrealistic nature of it (I mean, at times I've been an idealistic, delusional dreamer who has had to be brought down to earth by some realism punches or two).  So I thought I'd find out what other people thought. Fifteen people answered, a handful of whom stammered or needed a second to think, and some people could not move past an "I don't know."  Here are the answers I got:

I Have No Words

Let's just be honest.  Today is just one of those days.  Actually, this week is just one of those weeks.  One of those weeks where I have lost my writing mojo.  I sit down to write and there are no words.  Literally.  So, in light of my lack of words for the week, I am going to allow others words to speak for me.

Book Club: Extreme Edition

This afternoon, a happy, little Amazon package arrived containing a new book I've decided to read.  Now, for those of you who don't remember my confession, I have a very difficult time completing books and journals (especially while doing graduate school reading, writing, and researching). I'm a social creature for cryin' out loud! However, I do greatly enjoy reading books while in a book club, discussion-type situation (talking is the BEST! *fist pump*).  So I'm a little late, but I joined the (in)courage book club to read and experience 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess
