National Princess Week

2 Cor. 6:18 "..you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty"Ladies, there has never been better excuse to grab the nearest tiara and work it because…(Dun DUN Dun!) it’s NATIONAL PRINCESS WEEK! That’s right! This week, April 22-28, 2012, is the first annual National Princess Week. What does this mean? From what I understand the fabulous people at Disney came up with the idea, probably to get you to spend a little extra money on the “princess” in your life. But, consider this, you can make it mean SO much more! This week is the perfect opportunity to:
A: Work rhinestones like it’s 1499.
B: Show the world what it really means to be a princess, and talk about how awesome it is to be a daughter of God!
C: Pay some extra special attention to the princesses in your life.
D: Wear a fluffy dress.
E: Hire a friend to announce your impending presence before you enter any room.
F: Two words: Disney World… two more: Cinderella’s Castle!
G: Make a few “royal” decrees.
H: Kiss a few frogs? I’d recommend the amphibious kind. Princes disguised as frogs can be really slimy.
I: Talk to mice and sing with birds, and keep an eye out for a large pumpkin.
J: I hear clear shoes are back in style. Jellies anyone? They seem WAY more comfortable than glass, although just as sweaty.
K: Crown a friend and tell her why you think she deserves to be treated like royalty.
L: Like my Momma always said, “Nothing good happens after Midnight. Be home on time.”
M: You’ve always said it would be fun if life were a musical, well here’s your chance! Flash Mob?
N: Do some good, cook dinner, clean house, and encourage the little people in your life.
O: Avoid spinning wheels, apples, octopi, evil step people, hair cutting shears, genies, and once again… princes disguised as frogs.
P: Here’s your chance to master the lost art of the curtsy.
Q: Make your kingdom proud. Reach out to the community and do something to make a difference this week.
R: Get a secretly smarter than normal pet. Lizards, cats, dogs, crabs, fish, dragons, tigers, birds, and woodland creatures… really anything will do.
S: Whistle while you work.
T: One of the bonuses to being a princess is the extra beauty sleep. Just make sure it’s not thorn or apple induced. Otherwise, enjoy!
U: Have a Ball! I mean that in both respects.
V: Have a mentor? Consider her your Fairy Godmother this week.
W: Stand in front of your Mirror Mirror on the Wall, and remind it and yourself that you are BEAUTIFUL on the inside and out.
X: Remind a fellow princess to use her talents this week. These may or may not include singing, dancing, or floating down the stairs.
Y: Don’t allow yourself to be hulled up in a tower or to have a silenced voice. Life is an adventure. Get out and live it.
Z: And remember no matter what, if you’re following the path God laid out for you, in the end there is always a “Happily Ever After.”
